I hate it, but it's brilliant

If you give the slightest amount of shit about the environment, you might not like this, but you have to admit, it's brilliant. Honestly, how many people are really going to care about a wildlife refuge they're never gonna see when they have 100 smackers in their back pocket?

Song lyric of the day:
"Money, so they say
Is the root of all evil today
But if you ask for a rise
It's no surprise that they're giving none away"
- Pink Floyd, Money

(Actually, Roge, apparently they are. But at what cost?)

How can you put a price tag on nature. Those f'n fat cats in Washington are nothing but money hungry mutts who are nothing but a drain on this economy. Instead of bombing Iran we should be working stuff out with other countries that have oil to give that may bring down oil prices. NO BLOOD FOR OIL. NO BLOOD FOR OIL. NO BLOOD FOR OIL

ERET/OWM/Mike's former host for a summer,

My sentiments exactly. I'm glad you've finally come around to the side of right and reason. I'll take the capital letters and repetition to be a sign of how convinced you are by my reasoning.

:P

Stupidest. Idea. Ever.

I can see the committee meetings now. "Hey, I have an idea! Let's pay off the American people so they don't realize that we aren't actually doing anything about our energy problems! That way, we can sit up here and bicker more instead of getting things done!" "Yeah, awesome! More bickering for everybody! Woohoo!"

Also, fun fact: Waters wrote the lyric, but it's Gilmour singing it...

All I knew was that it was Roger who wrote it (due to the scene in "The Wall" when the teacher picks up his doodles in class and it turns out to by the lyrics to "Money"). At one point, I could differentiate between their voices, but I think that ability has faded.
